Senate Bill 229 regarding teacher evaluations was unanimously passed by the Ohio Senate in December of 2013. It’s being threatened by the House Education Committee. The Substitute SSB 229 “adds even more burdens, complexities and bad policy on Ohio’s educators. In addition, numerous exemptions to collective bargaining were added to the bill in a blatant attempt to silence the voice of educators.”
The good news is there is something you can do. Sign the petition to stop the substitute bill here.
